ISLAMABAD, Dec 6 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari has reappointed Allama Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi as Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) for three-year term.
According to the official notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on Saturday, the appointment was made under Article 228 of the Constitution, said a press release
Earlier, this post fell vacant on November 1, 2025. Dr Naeemi had retired as Chairman of the Council, along with 8 other members of the Council, upon completion of their term, it added.
The President of Pakistan, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, has appointed Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi as a member and appointed him as Chairman for a period of three years, it further stated.
