AJK President Sultan congratulates FM Syed Asim Munir on his appointment as the first Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan

MIRPUR, Dec 5 (APP): Azad Jammu Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has congratulated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his appointment as the first Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan, it was officially said.
“In his message of congratulations, the President said that this appointment was a historic step towards further strengthening the defense strategy of the Armed Forces of Pakistan,” the AJK President’s office said on Friday.
“The appointment of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is not only a source of pride for the valiant Armed Forces but also a manifestation of the strong position of peace, defense, and national security in the region,” APP AJK Correspondent reports, quoting the official statement issued by the AJK President’s office late Friday.
Barrister Sultan expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Pakistan’s forces will touch new heights and further strengthen the country’s defense. The President strongly appreciated the leadership skills, experience, and professionalism of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, stating that under his leadership, excellent coordination and coordinated planning among the Pakistan Army and other armed forces will be possible, which will further strengthen the country’s defense structure.
Sultan prayed that may Allah Almighty grant the Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir more strong ability to discharge the responsibility of this new position well and protect Pakistan from all threats. “This historic deployment will mark a new chapter in the development and defense capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces and is a source of pride for the entire country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” he concluded.
The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir state, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, also congratulated Air Chief Zaheer Babar Sidhu on his tenure’s extension. Sultan said that under the leadership of the Air Chief, the Pakistan Air Force has further strengthened the country’s defense, fully meeting the nation’s high expectations, the sources said.
