QUETTA, Dec 05 (APP): The Parliamentary Committee on the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) convened a key meeting on Friday, chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, to review the progress of ongoing development schemes and consult on priorities for the next fiscal year.
The session, attended by parliamentary members from the government and allied parties, carried out a detailed assessment of projects currently being executed under the PSDP framework.
In his address, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the timely completion of development projects and the transparent use of financial resources remain the provincial government’s foremost priorities.
“Every project must be a practical step towards public benefit and the economic development of the province,” Bugti asserted.
He urged committee members to maintain continuous oversight of ongoing schemes and to take immediate action to remove any delays or hurdles encountered during execution.
The committee discussed measures to improve the quality and pace of current development schemes, while incorporating suggestions for the upcoming fiscal year’s program.
Sarfraz Bugti assured attendees that the provincial government is making every possible effort to ensure projects are completed on schedule and deliver direct benefits to the public. He highlighted the importance of parliamentary involvement, noting “Transparent and result-oriented implementation of development projects can be ensured through parliamentary oversight and effective coordination.”
Discussions also focused on setting clear targets and priorities across various sectors to maximize development outcomes, create employment opportunities, and guarantee the provision of basic facilities throughout Balochistan.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the execution of development projects, underscoring that the PSDP will serve as a cornerstone for sustainable progress in the province.
