AJK PM felicitates Field Marshal on appointment as CDF

MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 05 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore on Friday congratulated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on becoming Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces. Terming the appointment a historic milestone for national security, he said that Field Marshal Asim Munir is a symbol of stability for Pakistan and the region. He said the decision reflects the national leadership’s commitment to strong defense. He expressed the optimism that the country’s defense system would be further strengthened under his able leadership.
The prime minister noted that throughout his career, the Field Marshal has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, leadership acumen, and prudence. “We are confident that Pakistan’s defense is in strong hands,” he maintained.
The prime minister also congratulated Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu on the extension of his tenure, noting that under his leadership.
Referring to the shooting down of six Indian war planes during the recent war, Prime Minister Rathore said that the Pakistan Air Force demonstrated operational superiority during the war humiliated India by shooting down half a dozen India jets including a Raphael in a swift and successful operation.
