ABBOTTABAD, Dec 05 (APP): Following a prompt and effective intervention by the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Abbottabad on Friday, the Utility Stores Corporation has paid Rs 400,000 in outstanding dues to a complainant within two months of filing the complaint.
Mohammad Aslam, an overseas Pakistani resident of Abbottabad, had filed the complaint through his representative Mohammad Fareed, stating that the Regional Manager of the Utility Stores Corporation had withheld rent and other bills for a warehouse under his rights for several months.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Federal Ombudsman immediately directed the concerned authorities of the Utility Stores Corporation to issue a notice. As a result, the corporation cleared all pending dues and ensured that the complainant received his rightful payment.
After the payment, Mohammad Fareed thanked Federal Ombudsman Ijaz Ahmed Qureshi and In-charge Regional Office Abbottabad Rashid Ahmed, praising the swift resolution of a long-standing issue.
Rashid Ahmed emphasized that the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat remains committed to timely, transparent, and fair redressal of public complaints, and any delay or negligence in such cases will not be tolerated.
