PESHAWAR, Dec 04 (APP): Provincial Disasters Management Authority (PDMA) here Thursday issued rains forecast alert till December 5, 2025.
PDMA press release said that snowfall is expected over hills in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Kolai Palas, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, and Mohmand.
During this period, strong chances of rainfall also exist in the districts of Kohat, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, North and South Waziristan, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Due to rainfall, there is a risk of slippery roads in the mountainous areas of Abbottabad, Battagram, Buner, Upper and Lower Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Khyber, Upper and Lower Kohistan, Kolai Palas, Kurram, Malakand, Mansehra, Mohmand, Orakzai, Shangla, Swat, Torghar, and North Waziristan.
Dilapidated houses, electric poles, billboards, and solar panels may be damaged due to rainfall. Farmers and livestock owners have been advised to move their crops and animals to safe locations.
Relevant departments have been instructed to ensure the availability of emergency services, medical aid, food, and other essential items, while the public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel during bad weather.
