Suri for inquiry into Quetta Hujjaj offloading in Karachi

ISLAMABAD, Sep 6 (APP):National Assembly Deputy Speaker Muhammad Qasim Khan Suri Wednesday urged Minister of Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri to hold an inquiry into offloading of Hujjaj (pilgrims) hailing from Balochistan at Karachi instead of Quetta.
During a meeting with the religious minister here at his chamber in the Parliament House, Suri said the Hujjaj had faced a lot of inconvenience in reaching Quetta from Karachi. The ministry should take immediate steps to send Hujjaj to Quetta by air, he added, according to a press release.
The matter should be investigated and action should be taken against those found responsible for treating the Hujjaj in such harsh manner, Suri said.
The minister informed tyhe deputy speaker that it had happened due to incapability and negligence of the caretaker government. His ministry had already made necessary arrangements and the Hujjaj would be transported to Quetta by a private airline, he added.
Qadri also assured the deputy speaker that stern action would be taken against the responsible.
