QUETTA, Dec 4 (APP): The Balochistan government has decided to pursue international legal action against leaders and commanders of outlawed militant organizations operating from abroad.
In a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Thursday, officials resolved to request Interpol red notices for the arrest of more than 300 wanted militants and to initiate proceedings in international courts.
Authorities confirmed the availability of documented evidence linking foreign-based militant leaders with local facilitators, including call recordings, financial transactions, and organizational networks.
An accelerated prosecution process was approved against leaders of banned groups, such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Baloch Republican Army (BRA), Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), United Baloch Army (UBA), Baloch Republican Guard (BRG), and Lashkar-e-Balochistan.
Evidence will be compiled and presented according to international legal standards to strengthen cases at global forums.
Chief Minister Bugti directed the provincial government to coordinate closely with the federal Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expedite the Interpol process.
He emphasized that no militant should be able to evade justice, declaring the crackdown “comprehensive and decisive,” targeting both local facilitators and foreign-based leadership.
He further instructed the Home Department to activate the special cell under the Provincial Action Plan and accelerate investigations into sensitive cases.
The meeting authorized an immediate crackdown against terrorist commanders abroad and their local networks. Officials briefed participants that the government possesses credible evidence of terrorist financing, organizational structures, and international activities, which will now be formally presented at global platforms.
Sarfraz Bugti vowed that Balochistan would not allow its soil to be used for bloodshed, adding that “No terrorist will be allowed to hide in any corner of the world.” He stressed that exposing militant leaders disguised under political banners is a state responsibility, and directed that all actions be taken under counter terrorism laws.
The Chief Minister underscored that the state has entered a decisive phase in eliminating elements challenging its writ. He accused foreign powers of backing terrorist agendas and affirmed “There will be zero tolerance against enemies of Pakistan and Balochistan until the last facilitator is brought to justice.”
The session was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hamza Shafqaat, and senior security officials, who collectively endorsed the aggressive new measures.
