LAHORE, Dec 03 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar on Wednesday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns regarding promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the IGP issued on-the-spot directives for immediate relief in several cases. On Inspector Muhammad Ashraf Khan’s request for an extension of his deputation, the IGP Punjab instructed DIG Establishment-I to provide relief. Similarly, on the request regarding the recruitment of the two daughters of retired Inspector Tanveer Zaman, Dr Usman directed DIG Establishment-I to extend relief. On Inspector Umar-ul-Qadri’s request for transfer, the Assistant Director Establishment-I was instructed to provide relief. Regarding Inspector Farooq Azam’s request for promotion, the IGP Punjab directed the Additional IG Punjab to grant relief.
On ASI Liaqat Ali’s request for a hearing of his appeal, AIG Discipline was directed to provide relief, while on the request to declare Head Constable Ghulam Dastgir as a Ghazi, DIG Welfare & Finance was instructed to grant relief. On the request concerning the treatment of Constable Muhammad Latif’s son’s hearing impairment, IGP Punjab directed the Additional IG Welfare & Finance to provide relief.
Dr Usman said that the best welfare of the police force and their families is the first priority and all possible measures are being taken in this regard.
