Colombo, Dec 03 (APP): A special relief team from Pakistan has arrived in Colombo aboard a C-130 aircraft to assist Sri Lanka in its ongoing flood response operations.

Dispatched on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the relief team was received at Colombo airport by Pakistan’s High Commissioner, Major General Faheem Ul Aziz, alongside Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister for Ports.

The Pakistani envoy reaffirmed Islamabad’s full support on behalf of the Government of Pakistan, personally greeting each member of the relief team upon arrival.

He emphasized that Pakistan stands with Sri Lanka in times of adversity and announced that an additional 200 tons of relief supplies will be dispatched by sea in the coming days.
