RAWALPINDI, Dec 03 (APP):The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi (HAR) has completed landscaping and winter plant-protection work at the Children’s Park, Committee Chowk, as part of its ongoing beautification campaign across the city.
A HAR spokesman said on Wednesday that, acting on the instructions of its Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, the Agency teams had carried out maintenance, planted seasonal flowers and reinforced measures to shield plants from the effects of severe cold. The colourful arrangements, he added, had given the park a vibrant, spring-like look and attracted increased family visits.
He said the HAR staff were continuing gardening and upkeep activities responsibly to maintain a clean, safe and pleasant recreational environment.
The spokesman said all necessary steps were being taken to facilitate the public and provide quality leisure spaces, with efforts under way “day and night” to make Rawalpindi greener and more attractive in line with the vision of the Punjab Government.
He added that the Agency teams were also working to protect plants in parks and greenbelts from harsh weather, while a vigorous tree-plantation drive across the city aimed to help reduce pollution and smog.
