ISLAMABAD, Dec 03 (APP):Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil has said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal spearheaded an intellectual revolution, offering a vision of nation-building grounded in character, knowledge, and action.
Speaking at a seminar titled “The Contemporary Relevance of Iqbal’s Thought and the New Generation” organised by the Information Services Academy, Khalil noted that Iqbal’s philosophy continues to inspire young people with selfhood, confidence, and a spirit of relentless struggle.
He emphasised that Iqbal regarded youth as the future of any nation, asserting that when they embody courage, inquiry, and perseverance, no force can hinder their progress.
Khalil urged that Iqbal’s message must move beyond ceremonial speeches and be woven into education, national policy, and youth training.
He stressed that teaching Iqbal’s poetry alone is insufficient, calling for efforts to nurture creative thinking, scientific awareness, moral discipline, and social responsibility among the younger generation to ensure they play a decisive role in shaping Pakistan’s future.
