ISLAMABAD, Sep 5 (APP):Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Wednesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would focus on good governance, besides strengthening the local bodies system with the consultation of all the political parties including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
Talking to a private news channel, he said the PTI government strongly believed in supremacy of law and good governance.
The governor said he accepted the responsibility to provide clean water to 25,000 villages in Punjab during five years and he would try his best to fulfill this responsibility.
He said the country had been facing a lot of challenges including shortage of water, fragile economy, unemployment, poverty and increasing difference between poor and rich people.
Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said foreign investment was the dire need of the country and the government would facilitate the international investors for this purpose, adding economic stability was impossible without filling gap between imports and exports.
He said the PTI government would promote tourism, textile, fish farming and jewelery industries for bringing improvement in these sectors.
Replying to a question, he said the government had constituted a committee which would decide about the usage of governor houses.
He said the government would not interfere in the affairs of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
