MULTAN, Dec 03 (APP): Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan paid a surprise visit to the Sub-Registrar Office on Wednesday and ordered for immediate arrest of four private individuals found sitting at the official counter.
The action was taken after reports surfaced regarding the presence of touts and private deed writers inside the office. The commissioner expressed strong displeasure over poor supervision by the Sub-Registrar City.
He announced that proceedings under the Punjab Employees’ Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006 would be initiated against the sub-registrar. “Citizens consider anyone inside the counter as government staff. The presence of private individuals is unacceptable,” he said.
Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan added that, under the directives of the Punjab Chief Minister, ensuring transparent and timely services to citizens remains the top priority.
