LAHORE, Dec 02 (APP): An incident at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has sent shock waves through the business and industrial community. Former president Abuzar Shad, without any provocation, subjected LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol to extreme misconduct, highly inappropriate language, and abusive slurs, according to LCCI press release issued here Tuesday.
This alarming episode has shaken the entire trader community of Lahore. The chaos erupted when Abuzar Shad displayed deeply regrettable, shameful, and utterly unacceptable behavior, verbally abusing the LCCI President and even issuing direct death threats.
At the time of the incident, Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, former president Muhammad Ali Mian, and Executive Committee members Ehtisham-ul-Haq and Rana Muhammad Nisar were present.
Eyewitnesses reported that Abuzar Shad entered the President’s office without permission and began interfering unlawfully, shouting and using extremely obscene language openly. This was far beyond a personal disagreement or emotional outburst—it appeared to be a deliberate, premeditated attack on the dignity, discipline, and sanctity of the institution.
Following the incident, LCCI President convened an emergent meeting of the Executive Committee to develop a formal strategy to prevent such events in the future and to officially condemn such elements. All major trade bodies in Lahore have strongly denounced the incident and demanded strict action from the authorities.
