KARACHI, Dec 02 (APP): For fostering women’s participation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is all set to celebrate Pakistan Women Entrepreneurship Day (PWED) on Wednesday December 3, 2025.
The PWED, this year, is featuring a host of activities including the ongoing awareness campaigns, Business Idea Competition 2025, and Women of Impact awards in categories of Innovative Leader, Social Impact, Sustainability Champion and Resilience along with Top Performance and Tech Innovator Awards for banks.
With objectives of promoting financial inclusion, recognizing achievements and encouraging participation, PWED 2025 aims to deepen outreach and support, creating sustainable pathways for women in business and honoring women innovators, job creators, and change makers.
The Women Entrepreneurship Day will be celebrated nationwide with the main ceremony at SBP Karachi and events hosted across 16 SBP BSC field offices. In addition, banks were also organizing a series of events and ceremonies throughout the week leading up to December 5, 2025, making it a nationwide showcase of women’s entrepreneurial achievements.
The Governor SBP Jameel Ahmad, senior SBP executives. Presidents and CEOs of major banks, together with their senior leadership, and partner institutes will attend the event that will also feature the journey of women entrepreneurship in Pakistan along with the presence of several accomplished women entrepreneurs, including award recipients, showcasing their exceptional contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
