ISLAMABAD, Dec 02 (APP):Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari on Tuesday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the convoy of the Assistant Commissioner of North Waziristan in Bannu district.
In his condolence message, the Minister said the cowardly attack on Miranshah Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali and two police personnel, was deplorable and deserving of the strongest condemnation. He said the assault carried out by terrorists reflected their brutality and desperation.
Sardar Awais Leghari said the sacrifices of the martyrs were a source of pride for the entire nation, adding that their blood would not go in vain. “The whole nation stands united against terrorism,” he said, reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eliminate the menace.
The Minister vowed that the fight against terrorism would continue until complete peace was restored in the country. He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience for the bereaved families.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he said the state and its people would jointly defeat the enemies of peace.
