According to report, a total of 2,084 FIRs were registered, while 5,295 suspects were nominated and 2,085 accused were arrested during various operations. Police encounters totaled 44, in which five dangerous criminals were killed and 37 arrested, while an equal number were injured.
DIG said that police operations against proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of 123 POs and 735 absconders. He said that during special operations, 182 FIRs were registered and 182 suspects arrested.
The seizures included 160 pistols, five revolvers, 16 shotguns, 393 rounds and 44 cartridges. Anti-narcotics actions led to 327 cases and 377 arrests, with recoveries including 0.65 kg heroin, 2.16 kg opium, 194.228 kg charas, 4.591 kg ICE, 145.75 kg bhang and 4,008 liters of locally made liquor. He said that in actions against gutka and mainpuri, 229 cases were registered, 287 accused arrested, and 14,579.061 kg of gutka/mainpuri/mawa was seized. Police also recovered property worth Rs. 7,610,010, including 19 motorcycles.
The report highlights major breakthroughs in key cases across various police stations, including a high-profile robbery case in Naushahro Feroze. In an incident in the historic village of Dheeran, more than seven armed masked robbers broke into a haveli, held the family hostage, looted hundreds of tolas of gold, cash, and licensed weapons, and escaped in the family’s Revo vehicle. DIG said that a special joint investigation team was formed under the directives of the IGP Sindh.
The team conducted coordinated operations in multiple districts of Sindh including Karachi, Umerkot, and Sujawal, as well as in Zhob (Balochistan), Peshawar (KPK), and Punjab districts including Faisalabad, Jhang, Pakpattan and Vehari.
Several suspects were detained, leading to the identification of the main gang. One key member was arrested, and further raids resulted in the recovery of 140 tolas of gold, Rs 7.8 million in cash, a Toyota Corolla used in the crime, three licensed weapons, two Kalashnikovs and a pistol. The gang was a notorious inter-provincial criminal group involved in high-value robberies in Punjab.
DIG narrated that on October 28, 2025, police arrested accused Ali Gohar Brohi in an injured condition and recovered 4.30 kg of ICE. The case was promptly challaned. Two other accused, Inayat Ali Kashmiri and Ali Sher Baqrani, were also arrested, while dangerous criminal Haq Nawaz Bhatti was killed in a police encounter. In another case, Jhool Police Station arrested accused Umeed Ali Jalalani for a house robbery and recovered eight tolas of gold and Rs. 119,000. At Sakrand Police Station, suspect Hari Om alias Sonu Bagri, involved in the murder of a four-year-old girl, Heer, was killed in an encounter.
Traffic Police issued 2,001 challans, generating Rs 1,289,050 in fines. Under the directives of DIG Faisal Bashir Memon, modern technology was effectively utilized for monitoring and crime prevention. Through the “Point-Me” attendance system, attendance of 8,571 officers and personnel was ensured, while disciplinary action continued against absentees. Using 28 surveillance devices, biometric and identity verification of 2,183 individuals was conducted, resulting in the timely arrest of 10 wanted criminals.
The DIG emphasized that modern systems are crucial for efficiency, transparency and strengthening police capabilities. He reaffirmed the commitment to enhance public safety and intensify crime prevention efforts.
The report also outlines welfare initiatives for police personnel and their families from September to November 2025. A total of 205 welfare cases were processed, including burial expenses (18 cases, Rs. 1.6 million), marriage grants (112 cases, Rs. 11.5 million), and retirement grants (75 cases, Rs. 3.505 million), amounting to Rs. 16,605,810. Four officers embraced martyrdom during this period, and their cases were processed on priority. Around 50 cases related to injury compensation, financial assistance, reimbursement, group insurance, benevolent fund and scholarships were completed with an expenditure of Rs. 8,602,000. Additionally, 33 pension and GP fund cases were finalized.
The SBA Range Police also released recruitment details of new Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) appointed through the Sindh Public Service Commission. A total of 60 ASIs, including 48 men, nine women and three minority candidates, have been deployed. These include 22 ASIs in Shaheed Benazirabad district, 15 in Sanghar and 23 in Naushahro Feroze.
DIG Faisal Bashir Memon stated that the induction of new ASIs will enhance operational capacity and help strengthen public security and crime control. He reiterated the zero-tolerance policy against criminals and instructed officers to maintain effective strategies for law and order.
