FAISALABAD, Dec 01 (APP): On the instructions of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government has approved funds of Rs 5 billion for the completion of sewerage system upgradation, road repair and rehabilitation and other projects in tehsil Tandlianwala under the Punjab Development Program.
Chairing a meeting at the Assistant Commissioner’s office, Tandlianwala on Monday, Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar said that the implementation of mega projects will start soon. Assistant Commissioner Azka Sahar and other tehsil officers were also present.
He also imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000 on the contractor for poor sanitation in the city and warned of cancellation of the contract.
He asked the Assistant Director, Local Government to task the Union Council Secretaries to prepare a development plan.
The commissioner also went to the THQ Hospital and took strict notice of non-provision of medicine to the patient from hospital’s pharmacy.
He visited the public park to review the recreational facilities and also planted a sapling as part of the tree plantation campaign.
The Commissioner also visited the central cemetery and checked the cleanliness situation.
