LAHORE, Dec 01 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar met with police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office Lahore on Monday, where he listened to a range of applications related to transfers, welfare, salaries, and administrative matters, and issued immediate instructions for relief through the concerned officers.
During the interaction, the IG Punjab reviewed transfer-related requests submitted by Inspector Khaleeq Ahmad and Inspector Irshad Ullah, directing the Additional IG Punjab to ensure prompt facilitation. In response to the transfer application of ASI Muhammad Ehsan, the IG instructed DIG Establishment-I to provide necessary relief without delay.
Similarly, on the request for cancellation of the transfer of Driver Constable Fahad Rehman, Dr Usman Anwar issued directions to DIG Establishment-II to take immediate action. He also addressed the salary payment issue raised by the wife of martyred Head Constable Iftikhar Sandhu, instructing Additional IG Welfare & Finance to expedite the process.
In another case, IG Punjab directed Additional IG Welfare & Finance to provide financial assistance to the father of martyred Constable Ansar Iqbal, ensuring timely support to the family of the fallen officer.
Dr Usman Anwar also passed instructions on various other requests pertaining to discipline, administration, promotions, and welfare, reaffirming that timely redressal of personnel issues and the well-being of their families remains a top priority for the Punjab Police.
