ISLAMABAD, Dec 01 (APP): An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday postponed hearing against PTI leaders and workers in cases pertaining to the protest of November 26, and others.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the cases. During the hearing, Sardar Muhammad Masroof Khan, Murtaza Turi and Zahid Bashir Dar Advocate appeared in the court on behalf of PTI workers.
During the hearing of the case registered at Sangjani Police Station on the Azadi March, no significant progress could be made in the case due to the unavailability of the PTI founder. The court adjourned the hearing the case against the present accused until December 22.
During the hearing of the cases registered at Aabpara, Kohsar and Tarnol police stations on the November 26 protest, applications were filed to exempt the absent accused from appearing, which the court approved and summoned the prosecution witnesses for the next hearing.
The court adjourned the hearing of 3 cases registered at the November 26 protest until December 9. During the hearing of the cases registered at the Secretariat Police Station on the November 26 protest, the court recorded the statements of 2 witnesses.
The cases have been registered against PTI workers and leaders under terrorism and other sections.
