RAWALPINDI, Dec 01 (APP):Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB), on Monday launched a cleanliness campaign in the entire Cantt areas. The campaign will continue till December 06.
“To create a healthy and clean environment, we all need to work together,” said CEO Aamer Rashid in a statement issued by RCB today.
The Cleanliness Week Campaign has officially begun in Rawalpindi Cantonment to make the sanitation system more effective and to raise public awareness. On December 2, the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board will also organize an awareness walk on Bank Road.
CEO Aamer Rashid urged the citizens to take part in the campaign and to cooperate in keeping the Cantonment clean by considering cleanliness a social responsibility.
According to cantonment officials, this week-long campaign will prove to be an effective step toward improving the standard of cleanliness in the Cantonment. Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal visited various areas of the Cantonment to review the campaign. On the first day, cleaning is being carried out in Wards 1 and 2. Each ward will be cleaned on a daily basis.
During the campaign, special cleaning will be done in the Cantonment’s streets, markets, and parks.
