CM launches LDP phase-II to upgrade 6,284 streets

LAHORE, Nov 30 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has formally launched the Lahore Development Plan (LDP) Phase-II, under which 6,284 streets of the city will be completely upgraded to enhance the city’s beauty and livability.
During a detailed briefing on the project here on Sunday, the authorities informed the CM that by June 30 next year, 5,798 streets under the Lahore Municipal Corporation and 486 streets under WASA would be developed and revamped. A monthly work plan was also presented, outlining phased efforts to make every neighborhood bright and prosperous.
CM Maryam Nawaz directed that there should be no compromise on the quality of work and emphasised that delays in the completion of Lahore Development Plan Phase-II would not be tolerated. She said every corner of Lahore would be made decay-free and respectable for citizens, noting that the upgradation of over 6,000 streets will turn each neighborhood into a symbol of civic pride.
