PESHAWAR, Nov 30 (APP):Businessman and owner of PSL franchise Multan Sultans, Ali Tareen, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi here at the Governor House on Sunday.
Ali Tareen lauded the Governor for hosting the first-ever KP Governor Sports Awards, calling it a remarkable step toward recognizing and promoting the province’s outstanding sports talent. He praised the initiative as an unprecedented effort in the history of the Governor House.
The meeting also focused on the possibility of hosting PSL matches in Peshawar. Discussions were held on collaboration between the Governor House and Ali Tareen to support young provincial athletes through sponsorships and development opportunities.
Governor Kundi said that talented youth from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are making their mark at local, national and international levels.
He emphasised that hosting PSL and international cricket matches in the province is vital for promoting peace and reviving sports culture.
“Reviving sports grounds and bringing major cricket events to KP will help foster harmony and provide positive opportunities for our youth,” he added.
