LAHORE, Nov 29 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar paid tribute to the three personnel who laid down their lives during the Kacha operation in Rahim Yar Khan, observing the second anniversary of their martyrdom.
The IG described the brave officers as “the crown of our pride” and reaffirmed the force’s
commitment to stand by their families.
Punjab Police spokesperson said that on this day in 2023, Constables Muhammad Irshad, Ghulam Hussain, and Muhammad Qasim embraced martyrdom while confronting armed bandits in the Kacha area.
Dr Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police will continue its operations against Kacha bandits with full determination to ensure that the sacrifices of the young officers are honoured and never go in vain.
He also expressed gratitude to the families of the martyrs and reaffirmed the department’s
support for them.
