SUKKUR, Nov 29 (APP): IBA University Sukkur on Saturday hosted a three day Model United Nations event. District Chairman Syed Kumail Haider Shah inaugurated the ceremony.
Students from IBA, public schools and various other schools and colleges participated in the event.
Syed Kamil Haider Shah said environmental pollution is the most critical issue today. He noted that the District Council is taking steps to control pollution.
He added that tree planting drives are being carried out in Sukkur city and its surroundings. He also mentioned that projects for urban forestation will soon begin with World Bank assistance.
Shah warned that industries and institutions found involved in spreading pollution will face action. He announced the donation of 20 laptops to female students of IBA University.
