RAWALPINDI, Nov 29 (APP): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Imran Razzaq on Saturday assumed charge as the new Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Murree following the transfer of his predecessor, Waseem Akhtar.
After taking charge, SSP Razzaq held an introductory meeting with officers and personnel at the Traffic Headquarters. He issued clear instructions regarding professional conduct, discipline and public service during duty, a DPR news release said.
Addressing the staff, he said traffic management in a sensitive and tourist-heavy destination like Murree was a critical responsibility and that negligence would not be tolerated. Ensuring smooth traffic flow and facilitating residents and visitors, he added, must remain the foremost duty of the force.
He said the millions of tourists visiting Murree each year required improved traffic arrangements, and that modern strategies, better coordination and effective duty plans would be adopted to reduce congestion and guide travellers efficiently.
Officials of the City Traffic Police Murree reaffirmed their commitment to public service, vigilant supervision and strengthened traffic management, stating that all available resources would be utilised to achieve the goals.
