E-BIZ portal performance reviewed

SARGODHGA, Nov 29 (APP):Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan on Saturday reviewed the progress of the Punjab e-Biz Portal in a meeting with officers from all four districts of Sargodha division.
According to officials,405 applications have been received so far and 306 have been processed through the digital system.
In which Sargodha has 192 applications out of which 139 approved,in Khushab 35 application out of which 11 approved,in Mianwali 98 applications out of which 84 approved and in Bhakkar 81 application out of which 72 approved.
The commissioner directed all departments to clear applications on time.
He said the e-Biz Portal was helping citizens by providing services at home and making government work more transparent and efficient.
A meeting was held regarding the e-Biz Portal under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division Jahanzeb Awan. The meeting reviewed the progress of applications received on the portal in detail.
The meeting was attended by Director Development Bilal Hassan, ADCGs of all four districts, SNEs and local government officers. The meeting was informed that 405 applications have been received on the e-Biz Portal from all four districts of Sargodha Division so far, out of which 306 applications have been processed through the digital system.
It was further informed that 192 applications were received in Sargodha district, out of which 139 have been approved, 48 are pending with the applicant while 4 applications were rejected. In Khushab district, 35 applications were received, out of which 11 were approved, 9 were rejected, 3 applications are in process in the departments while 12 are pending with the applicant.
In Mianwali district, 98 applications were received, out of which 84 were approved, 2 are in process while 12 are pending with the applicant. In Bhakkar district, 81 applications were received, out of which 72 were approved, one was rejected and 6 applications are pending with the applicant. Commissioner directed all departments to dispose of the applications received on the e-Biz portal within the stipulated time.
He said that this portal of the Punjab government is a significant step for providing services at home, which has facilitated access to public facilities.  He said that IT has brought innovation and transparency to government affairs and that paperless working is making matters more efficient.
