LAHORE, Nov 28 (APP): Alhamra Sufi Festival 2025 kicked off on Friday with the inauguration of exhibition here at Alhamra Art Gallery.
Punjab Secretary for Information and Culture Tahir Raza Hamdani, along with renowned Naat Khawan Marghoob Hamdani, inaugurated the exhibition.
Alhamra Executive Director Muhammad Mehboob Alam Chaudhry was also present. The secretary witnessed the art work besides lauding the passion and hard work of the artists. He said that the Punjab government was promoting literature and culture in very effective way.
He said, “The exhibition features soul stirring Sufi art work, showcasing artistic skills of talented artists.”
The exhibition is a tribute to the Sufi heritage and its impact on contemporary art, providing a thought-provoking experience for visitors, he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the exhibition features over 100 artworks by 65 artists, showcasing various forms of art, including calligraphy, abstract art and symbolism. The artworks reflect the Sufi philosophy, emphasizing devotion, poetry, silence and the quest for truth.
