RAWALPINDI, Nov 28 (APP): The Rawalpindi Police continued to enforce strict security arrangements on Friday for the sixth T20 match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, along with Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) for Operations and Investigation, the Chief Traffic Officer, Divisional SPs, and other officers supervised the security measures.
The CPO personally reviewed the arrangements and issued directives to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
A spokesman said over 5,500 police officers and personnel were deployed to safeguard the stadium, while more than 350 traffic officers managed vehicular movement to maintain road flow and public convenience.
CPO Hamdani stated that the Rawalpindi Police were committed to providing a safe and well-facilitated environment for cricket fans and participating teams, underlining their resolve to maintain exemplary security throughout the ongoing tri-series.
