CHINIOT, Nov 28 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Deputy Director Operations, Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza, along with the a team on Friday conducted a raid on a fish storage warehouse where extremely poor hygiene and storage conditions were found.
According to the spokesperson, a heavy fine was imposed due to the presence of a washroom inside the storage facility and improper storage arrangements.
During various operations, fines amounting to a total of Rs 120,000 were imposed.
Several milk shops and milk carrier vehicles were also fined for supplying substandard milk, while more than 130 litres of adulterated milk was destroyed.
Additionally, 3 kg of expired products and 12 liters of expired cold drinks were also discarded.
The PFA media coordinator said that access to quality food was a fundamental right of every citizen.
