Two drug peddlers get 14 years imprisonment

RAWALPINDI, Nov 28 (APP):Two drug suppliers were convicted by local courts on Thursday, awarding a total of 14 years imprisonment and imposing fines amounting to Rs120,000.0 on the accused.
In the first case, Amjad Khan was sentenced to nine years in jail and fined Rs80,000.0.
He was arrested by Gujar Khan Police in November 2023 when 2 kg and 160 grams of charas were recovered from him.
Kabir Hussain in another case, was awarded five years imprisonment and a fine of Rs40,000.0.
He was arrested by R.A. Bazar Police in May 2025 with 500 grams of charas in his possession.
City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani, appreciated the SSP Investigation, investigating officers, and the legal team for their excellent work.
He reiterated that Rawalpindi Police is taking all possible steps to eliminate the menace of drugs from the district.
