Pakistan, Qatar charity explore enhanced collaboration in education, skills development and humanitarian partnerships

ISLAMABAD, Nov 27 (APP):Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, met with Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Charity, at the organisation’s headquarters in Doha.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar Charity in key areas of education, skills development, and community-focused humanitarian initiatives, said a press release received here on Thursday.
Wajiha Qamar appreciated Qatar Charity’s longstanding support to Pakistan, especially in emergency response, school infrastructure, and poverty alleviation programmes.
Al-Kuwari briefed the Minister on Qatar Charity’s global interventions and ongoing projects in Pakistan, highlighting opportunities for deeper collaboration in:
•Expanding access to quality education, including support for school rehabilitation and teacher development
•Enhancing vocational and technical training programmes aligned with youth employability
•Joint initiatives in community development, social protection, and climate-resilient infrastructure
•Leveraging Qatar Charity’s global expertise for innovative models in humanitarian and development programming.
Both sides agreed to explore structured mechanisms for future cooperation, including project-level coordination, information sharing, and potential public–private partnerships in underserved regions of Pakistan.
Minister expressed gratitude to Qatar Charity for its continued commitment for supporting Pakistan’s development priorities and reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s resolve to work together for sustainable, community-centered impact.
