5000 B2B meetings, $640mln business deals in Food and Agriculture Exhibition 2025 : CEO TDAP

KARACHI, Nov 27 (APP): Chief Executive Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Faiz Ahmad on Thursday said that over 5000 Business-to-Business meetings between international buyers and representatives of Pakistani exporters resulted in business deals worth US $ 640 million during the first two days of Food and Agriculture Exhibition 2025 held at Expo Center here, is a commendable achievement of this event.
He was sharing his views in a media briefing along with the Secretary TDAP Sheryar Taj and others at the Expo Center here.
Faiz Ahmad said that the business deals were locked across agro food sectors, including rice, processed food, seafood, confectionery, meat, cereals, and oilseeds.
He said that participation of major global brands among 850 international buyers from 80 countries, besides over 375 Pakistani exporters are showcasing over 23 agro-food sectors in the Food and Agriculture Exhibition 2025.
He pointed out that the representatives of international buyers have endorsed that the industries in Pakistan have achieved significant growth in the last three years.
Faiz Ahmad said that the comments of international buyers regarding the food and agriculture sector of Pakistan that have been recorded in the Food and Agriculture Exhibition 2025 are very positive.
The Chief Executive TDAP told a questioner that farm-to-market transportation of agricultural produce is improved due to better connectivity to roads in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Global Cuisine Show during FoodAg 2025 was again a premier event, demonstrating the seamless integration of Pakistani ingredients into diverse international cuisines. In live demonstrations, renowned chefs—among them, Michelin-recognized professionals—utilized Pakistani basmati rice, mangoes, Himalayan pink salt, spices, seafood, and premium meats to represent culinary styles from France, Italy, Turkey, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Southeast Asia. International content creators further elevated Pakistan’s culinary profile, broadcasting its agro-food strengths to a worldwide digital audience.
Through expanded international participation, dynamic B2B engagements, regulatory alignment, and world-class culinary events, FoodAg 2025 is reinforcing Pakistan’s role in the global food value chain.
This three-day exhibition highlights Pakistan’s commitment to building a sustainable, resilient, and globally competitive agro-food sector, positioning the nation as a credible partner in international trade and global food security.
