PESHAWAR, Nov 27 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has said that the supremacy of the Constitution, freedom of expression and the provision of justice were the core visions of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was committed to fulfilling that mission.
He expressed these views while speaking to a delegation of the Peoples Lawyers Forum (PLF) Mardan at Governor’s House on Thursday.
The delegation, led by PLF Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leader and Deputy Attorney General Gohar Rehman Khattak, PLF provincial president Mehm Afridi, general secretary Lajbar Khan Khalil and PLF Mardan divisional president Mushtaq Bacha.
Governor Kundi said that the role of the Pakistan Peoples Party and the legal community in restoring and strengthening democracy in the country was undeniable. He added that the recent success of PLF-backed candidates in various bar council elections reflected the lawyers’ confidence in the PPP’s manifesto and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership.
On the occasion, Barrister Babar Shehzad Imran, Barrister Mustafa, Advocate Kausar Ali Shah and Advocate Imran Khan announced their decision to join the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Peoples Lawyers Forum.
The Governor welcomed the new members and praised the provincial and local PLF leadership for their efforts.
He emphasized that the doors of the Governor House were always open to party workers and the public, and that he was striving to fulfill the trust placed in him by the party. He added that the Governor House was the party’s forum and remained accessible at all times.
Governor Kundi further said that the future of the Pakistan Peoples Party was bright, and despite the challenges facing democratic forces today, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari continued to advance his mission with full resolve.
