LAHORE, Nov 26 (APP):The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday directed that all petitions related to the determination of wheat prices in Punjab, currently pending before various benches, be consolidated and fixed for hearing at the Principal Seat.
Chief Justice Aalia Neelum issued the order while hearing a petition filed by the Punjab government. Assistant Advocate General Waqas Umar appeared on behalf of the provincial government.
The law officer informed the court that multiple petitions concerning wheat price fixation were being heard at different benches of the High Court, including the Principal Seat, creating a possibility of conflicting judgments.
He requested the court to consolidate all related cases and place them before a single bench to ensure a uniform and consistent decision.
The court accepted the request and ordered that all such petitions be scheduled at the Principal Seat.
