Meeting discusses PCP expansion for extended services

PESHAWAR, Nov 26 (APP):A meeting regarding the expansion project of Paraplegic Centre Peshawar was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, Chief of Health, Planning & Development Department KP.
Senior officers from various departments participated in the meeting, including the Paraplegic Centre, Health Department, Finance Department, Communications & Works Department and Planning & Development Department.
Prominent among the attendees were Chief Humayun Khan and Senior Chief Sher Aazam from P&D Department, Senior Planning Officer Shams from Health Department, XEN Tariq Afzal and SDO Azizullah from C&W Department.
During the meeting, CEO of the Centre, Dr. Syed Muhammad Ilyas, gave a comprehensive briefing to the participants about the services, facilities and future requirements of the Centre.
The participants conducted a detailed visit of the Centre, where they closely reviewed the infrastructure, patient rehabilitation facilities and the operations of various sections.
After the Centre visit, the participants proceeded to Regi Model Town, where they inspected the land allocated for the expansion project. Detailed discussions were held on the technical, financial and operational aspects of the project wherein necessary decisions were taken.
Dr. Syed Muhammad Ilyas thanked all the participating departments and stated that extensive physical and psychological rehabilitation services for spinal cord injury patients and other persons with physical disabilities across the province has become inevitable.
The meeting concluded with a firm resolve that all concerned departments will play their role in expeditiously implementing the Paraplegic Centre Peshawar expansion project.
