Peshawar, AJK, Islamabad, Lahore move in PAF T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy semis

ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (APP): Peshawar, AJK, Islamabad and Lahore have qualified for the semifinals of the PAF T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2025 (Grade-1) to be played here at different venues on Thursday.

In the first semifinal, Peshawar will face AJK while Islamabad will play Lahore in the second semifinal.
Meanwhile, Lahore, Multan, AJK and Peshawar earned victories in the matches of the Trophy played on Wednesday.

Lahore beat Bahawalpur by 10 wickets at Shalimar Cricket Ground. Lahore won the toss and elected to bowl first. Bahawalpur posted a formidable total of 204/3 in 20 overs, powered by an exceptional century from Moain Aslam (103 off 62 balls) and a valuable contribution from Babar Ali (46 off 32). For Lahore, Karamat Ali claimed the sole wicket.

In response, Lahore produced a commanding chase, reaching the target in 18.3 overs without losing a wicket. Badar Munir played a sensational unbeaten knock of 111 off 58 balls, well supported by Sami Ullah (61 off 56). Badar Munir was declared Man of the Match.

Multan defeated Okara by 8 wickets at Bhutto Cricket Ground. Multan opted to bowl after winning the toss. Okara posted 221/1 in 20 overs, with Umer Draz top-scoring with a superb 103 off 55 balls, while Arslan added 48 off 39.

Multan chased the target convincingly in 18.4 overs, losing just 2 wickets. Muhammad Safder led the charge with a magnificent 158 off 70 balls, assisted by Yousaf (24 off 25). For Okara, Irfan took both wickets. Muhammad Safder was declared Man of the Match.

AJK outplayed Islamabad by 7 wickets at Shalimar Cricket Ground. Islamabad won the toss and elected to bat, setting a competitive total of 206/2 in 20 overs. Anees Javed (80 off 56) and Akmal (73 off 46) delivered strong performances. Kamran Akhter claimed 2 wickets for AJK.

AJK successfully chased the target in 17.4 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Faisal Mehmood anchored the innings with a brilliant unbeaten 89 off 47 balls, supported by Kamran (41 off 22). Mati Ullah and Akmal Hayyat shared one wicket each. Faisal Mehmood was declared Man of the Match.

Peshawar sealed victory over Gujranwala by 11 runs at Bhutto Cricket Ground. Gujranwala chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Peshawar posted an imposing 234/8 in 20 overs, with standout performances from Haroon Khan (79 off 42) and Mohsin Khan (59 off 34). For Gujranwala, Tayyab Rehmani claimed one wicket.

In reply, Gujranwala were bowled out for 223 in 19.1 overs. Israr ul Hassan (73 off 48) and Muhammad Akram (34 off 21) top-scored. For Peshawar, Mohsin Khan took 2 wickets, while Asif, Haroon and Kazim Ullah picked up one wicket each. Haroon Khan was declared Man of the Match.
