HYDERABAD, Nov 26 (APP): Regional Director Ombudsman Office Shaheed Benazirabad, Khan Muhammad Zardari, organized an open katcheri at District Accounts Office Shaheed Benazirabad to address complaints and issues of serving government employees, retired staff and pensioners regarding pension payments, GP Fund, timely disbursement of salaries and other financial matters.
The event was organized on the special directives of Provincial Ombudsman Sindh.
A large number of employees from various departments, including pensioners, attended the open forum and informed Regional Director about their issues related to pensions, GP Fund, gratuity and other financial concerns.
On this occasion, Regional Director Khan Muhammad Zardari instructed concerned officers to resolve the financial matters of government employees immediately. He said that pensioners are senior citizens, and resolving their issues is a top priority.
Regional Director said that such open katcheris would continue to ensure public service, transparency, and facilitation so that government employees and pensioners can receive justice and assistance under one roof.
He emphasized ensuring practical performance and accountability and resolved several issues on the spot, for which employees and pensioners expressed gratitude.
District Accounts Officer Shaheed Benazirabad, Habib Rehman Arain, also resolved numerous complaints presented at the katcheri and addressed pensioners’ issues.
For some cases, he assured that pending records would be completed and resolved within stipulated time. He informed that with the introduction of online system, employees’ salaries are now directly transferred to their bank accounts once the payroll is processed.
Participants appreciated the initiative of Ombudsman Office, terming it practical, helpful, and public-friendly.
The open katcheri was attended by Additional District Accounts Officer Shaheed Benazirabad Hassan Jan Chingizi, Information Officer Aijaz Ali Teevino, Treasury Office Accountant Muhammad Kamil Moryo, Ali Raza Bhatti, Pir Bakhsh Rind, Talib Hussain Zardari, Javed Zardari, and other treasury officials, employees, and pensioners.
