Governor Kundi, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman discuss regional situation, interfaith harmony

PESHAWAR, Nov 26 (APP): Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Khateeb of Badshahi Mosque Lahore, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, met Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House here Wednesday, where they discussed regional developments, interfaith harmony and challenges facing Pakistan.

During the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad expressed concern over Afghanistan’s recent attitude, stating that Pakistan had always supported Afghanistan, yet today “the nation is facing hostility in return.”

He added that the recent three to four-hour conflict had shattered India’s arrogance, after which India had revived its old networks and conspiracies in Afghanistan moves he termed harmful not only for Pakistan but for Afghanistan itself.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said, “Afghanistan is involved in every act of terrorism in Pakistan, backed by India and Israel. He emphasized that the people and armed forces of Pakistan were united in defeating such conspiracies.

He stressed the need to strengthen sectarian harmony and religious tolerance across the country.

The Governor urged the religious leadership to play a constructive role in fostering national unity, promoting a narrative of cohesion and patience, and discouraging divisive rhetoric. He called for guiding youth and the public toward responsibility rather than provocation.
