ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (APP):The export of footwear from the country witnessed an increase of 1.12 percent during the first four months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the exports of the corresponding months of last year.
The country exported footwear worth US$ 59.935 million during July-October 2025-26 as opposed to the export of US$ 59.274 million during July-October 2024-25, showing growth of 1.12 percent, according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Among the footwear products, the exports of leather footwear witnessed a decline of 5.59 percent, from US$ 47.984 million to US$ 45.301million during the months under review.
The exports of canvas footwear also decreased by 48.10 percent by going down from US$ 0.950 million last year to US$ 0.493 million, the PBS data revealed.
However, the exports of all other footwear rose by 36.76 percent to US$ 14.141 million from US$ 10.340 million in the same months last year.
Meanwhile, year-on-year basis, the footwear exports increased by 1.51 percent during the month of October 2025 as compared to the same month of last year.
The footwear exports during October 2025 were recorded at $14.358 million against the export of $14.145 million in October 2024.
During the period under review, the export of leather and canvas footwear dipped by 17.25 and 84.79 percent respectively. In addition the export of all other footwear appreciated by 98.12 percent, it added.
On a month-on-month basis, the exports of footwear commodities went up by 19.92 percent during October 2025 as compared to the exports of $11.973 million in September 2025, the PBS data revealed.
On a month-on-month basis, the exports of leather and canvas footwear increased by 7.79 and 372.95 percent respectively. In addition the export of all other footwear products surged by 50.78 percent, it added.
