LAHORE, Nov 26 (APP):Registration of birth, marriage, divorce and death records will now be available through the Pak-ID mobile application.
The registration of birth, marriage, divorce and death records will now be available through the Pak-ID mobile application, following a landmark e-registration agreement between the Punjab Local Government Department and National Database and
Registration Authority (NADRA).
The signing ceremony was attended by Secretary Local Government Punjab and DG NADRA Punjab Fizza Shahid, who formally signed the agreement. DG Local Government Punjab Ahmed Kamal Maan was also present on the occasion.
According to the Local Government Secretary, a pilot project has already been launched in three districts — Jhelum, Chakwal and Nankana Sahib. He added that after the successful completion of the pilot phase, the system will be expanded to all Union Councils across the province.
DG NADRA Punjab Fizza Shahid stated that the scope of public services available on the Pak-ID mobile
app is being further enhanced, enabling citizens to access vital event registration from the comfort of their homes.
Fiza Shahid said that residents of Punjab will now be able to register vital events on the mobile application without visiting government offices, marking a major step towards digital public service delivery.
The ceremony was also attended by Director Lahore Division Dr Farooq Khara, Director Operations Yasir Saeed, Deputy Director Operations Mohsin Maqbool, and NADRA focal person Rizwan Ali Bhatti.
