TASHKENT, Nov 26 (UzA/APP) : A delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has visited China. The purpose of the trip was to study the country’s best practices in ensuring public safety, combating cyber threats, introducing advanced technologies, and training specialists.
During the visit, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan Aziz Tashpulatov met with the Minister of Public Security of China, Wang Xiaohong. Measures to strengthen practical cooperation between the agencies, joint efforts to combat transnational and cybercrime, and issues related to maintaining public order and security were discussed at the meeting. Prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in experience exchange and training of specialists were also considered.
In accordance with the program of the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China and became familiar with scientific-practical developments implemented in the field of security, digital technologies, and information database management systems. The Institute’s specialists presented their latest developments in innovative software, intelligent video analysis, and search and operational investigative activities.
The delegation members also visited the Criminal Investigation Bureau of China’s Ministry of Public Security. Issues of protecting private data and the digital economy from increasing cyber-attacks and electronic fraud at the global level were discussed at the meeting.
The Chinese side demonstrated advanced solutions such as cyber threat early-detection platforms, anti-fraud technologies for electronic payments, Internet monitoring, and a threat risk assessment system. The Uzbekistan delegation members discussed the possibilities of applying these practices to improve Uzbekistan’s cybersecurity system.
The delegation members visited the Public Security Bureau’s Law Enforcement Activity Center and became familiar with the processes of digital modeling of crime cases, automated analysis of documents and digital evidence, and the latest forensic examination methods.
The experience of organizing advanced training models, training courses, and practical exercises was studied at the People’s Public Security University of China. At the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, the Uzbekistan delegation presented information on regional security systems, threat monitoring for public order, improving road safety, and managing operational centers.
In Shenzhen, the delegation visited several critical technical facilities. In addition, the Uzbekistan delegation attended the closing ceremony of the 15th National Games of China and gained insight into best security practices for mass events.
