ISLAMABAD, Nov 25 (APP):Ex-cadets of Cadet College Kohat (CCK) on Tuesday gathered to celebrate 60 years of the Kohatian legacy, bringing together alumni from the 1st Entry (1965) to the recently graduated 56th Entry.
The event highlighted six decades of the college’s role in shaping leaders across Pakistan’s armed forces, civil services, business, media, and social sectors, said a press release.
Distinguished attendees included Major General (R) Haroon Pasha, Lt. General (R) Sabahat Hussain, Commodore (R) Mahmood ur Rehman, and Admiral (R) Asif Sandila, former Chief of Naval Staff, alongside senior government and military officials.
The ceremony featured the college anthem penned by renowned poet Ahmed Faraz as well as speeches and a prayer for honored Kohatians martyred in service to Pakistan. Alumni were recognized for their contributions and presented with mementos by the Kohatian Association.
Veterans shared memories spanning decades, reflecting on the college’s transformative role. Major (R) Javed Rana, a first-entry alumnus and 1971 war veteran, said, “It isn’t an ordinary institution; it has shaped thousands of students who went on to serve the country.”
The Kohatian Association, registered under Pakistan’s charity regulations, supports alumni networking, professional development, and cadet scholarships through an endowment fund. It also employs a modern e-voting and online donations system to strengthen transparency and engagement.
“Once a Kohatian, Always a Kohatian”; a motto celebrated at the 60-year reunion; underscored the spirit of camaraderie and lifelong connection that defines CCK.
