Distt admin accelerates public service under KP CM’S district initiative

KOHAT, Nov 25 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Rahimullah Mehsud on Tuesday directed all the line departments to eliminate delays in resolving public grievances, submit regular progress reports, implement effective mechanisms for complaint redressal and maintain strict oversight of development projects.
He was chairing a key meeting on the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s “District Service Delivery” initiative, aimed at strengthening governance and ensuring efficient delivery of public services across the district.
The meeting brought together representatives from the district administration, all line departments, development agencies and officers responsible for service delivery.
Departments presented detailed briefings on ongoing welfare programs, progress of development projects and the quality of services provided to the citizens.
Deputy Commissioner Mehsud reviewed each department’s performance individually, highlighting areas requiring immediate improvement.
He emphasized that the initiative is a critical step toward enhancing transparency, efficiency and accountability, ensuring citizens receive timely services at their doorstep.
Mehsud reiterated that timely completion of public-interest projects and merit-based decision-making are top priorities, urging the officials to act responsibly and uphold public trust.
