Tarnol search operation: 170 persons, 67 houses screened

ISLAMABAD, Nov 25 (APP)::Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out a grand search-and-combing operation in various areas of Tarnol Police Station’s jurisdiction, during which 170 individuals and 67 houses were screened.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the operation was conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, while SP Saddar Kazim Naqvi directly monitored field activities. Teams from Ladies Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) also participated.
He said police personnel were briefed prior to deployment regarding the operational plan and safety protocols.

During the operation, 40 motorcycles and 24 vehicles were checked, while 11 suspicious individuals were shifted to the police station for further verification.
He added that the purpose of the search operation was to curb crime, trace criminal elements, and enhance overall security in the area.
The official said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad has already issued directions to conduct grand search operations across the district to eliminate crime.
