LAHORE, Nov 24 (APP): Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has a track record of public service and will contest Punjab’s upcoming local government (LG) elections zealously.
Talking to PPP office-bearers from Lahore division and part workers at the Governor’s House here on Monday, he said the PPP is succeeding in regaining its popularity across the province. He said that the PPP will participate fully in the local government elections to be held in Punjab.
The Governor Punjab said that as per the instructions of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP will field its strong candidates in the local government elections. He directed the party office bearers to make full preparations for the PPP Foundation Day.
He expressed the hope that the office bearers, workers and activists of the PPP will make the Foundation Day on November 30 a memorable one. On this occasion, the Governor of Punjab directed all the workers to end their differences and further strengthen the party.
He said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will soon come to Lahore and meet the office bearers and workers. The Governor of Punjab said that the PPP is committed to address the problems of people especially the under privileged class.
He said that the Governor House has been converted into a people’s Governor House. He said that the Governor House has become above politics and has been opened for all political parties.
