2 killed, 10 injured in road accident
MUZAFFARGARH, Nov 24 (APP):Two persons were killed and ten others sustained injuries in a major road accident near Bara Stop on DG Khan Road, Muzaffargarh, on Monday.
According to the Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122, the crash occurred when a speeding car hit the footpath and collided with an oncoming Hi-Ace van. Rescue teams reached the site within minutes, cordoned off the area and started emergency operations.
Rescue officials confirmed that ten people, including women and children, were injured in the crash. After providing first aid on the spot, nine injured persons were shifted to Indus Hospital Muzaffargarh, while one was moved to DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh.
Two victims identified as Sajid (53) and Muhammad Altaf (38) died on the spot due to severe head injuries. Their bodies were shifted to RHC Baseera for legal formalities.
Rescue 1122 teams carried out the operation under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Engr. Ubaid Ullah Khan.
