Ali Pervaiz Malik chairs high-level meeting on winter gas load management
ISLAMABAD, Nov 24 (APP):A high-level meeting on winter gas load management was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik on Monday.
During the meeting, Ali Pervaiz Malik said that, on the special directives of the Prime Minister, every possible step be taken to ensure adequate gas supply to the public during the winter season, said a press release.
The Managing Directors of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) briefed the meeting on the current availability of gas across the country.
Minister Ali Pervaiz stated that necessary instructions have been issued to both Sui companies to facilitate the public, adding that RLNG connections rollout was also reviewed. He added that this year’s domestice gas supply situation was significantly better compared to last year.
According to the SNGPL Managing Director, gas is being provided continuously from 5 AM to 10 PM, in addition to regular supply during meal times these days, ensuring greater convenience for households.
The federal minister emphasized that the improvement in gas supply has been made with public comfort as a priority.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Petroleum Division, Sui Northern Gas, Sui Southern Gas, and OGRA.
