KOHAT, Nov 24 (APP):A high-level meeting was convened at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Kohat regarding health services improvements, these were on the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Secretary Shahidullah Khan.
According to APP correspondent, participants discussed in detail the administrative, technical, and medical challenges currently faced by the hospital.
Ward in-charges highlighted issues including the rising patient load, shortage of staff, repair of medical equipment, and timely provision of medicines.
They also presented practical and actionable suggestions aimed at improving the hospital’s overall performance.
During the session, a comprehensive review of the Sehat Sahulat Program was carried out in the presence of the PMO.
The program’s core objective is to provide patients with quality healthcare facilities, better coordination, and easier access to treatment.
Participants proposed measures to enhance service delivery under the program, ensure effective management of patient data, and strengthen communication between the hospital and the provincial health department.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Tahir Ali Shah expressed gratitude to the participants and assured that all issues and recommendations would be conveyed to the Health Secretary for further action.
